Read Annie's great essay "Living Like Weasels". You will either love it or hate it - no in-betweens!

I found "Weasels" in "Teaching a Stone to Talk". The first time I read it the imgery took my breath away. There is another awesome essay telling of her experience in watching a total solar eclipse, but I'll have to dig up the title.

"Pilgrim at Tinker's Creek" has some amazing revelations in it -- also a super read. I'm not the only one who thinks so. The guys who give out the Pulitzer Prize thought so too - and gave her one for it.

She has a very unusual writting style. Quite lofty at times, and then, suddenly, like hitting an air pocket, she can slam you into the earth.
